Rural Women's Project, a venture of the Midwest Organic & Sustainable Education Service (MOSES), created this free seminar to support women farmers and food-based entrepreneurs. "Sowing Fresh Seeds" highlights stories of women farmers and ecopreneurs around the US, and offers participants the opportunity to share their experiences and challenges as they network with other women passionate about creating healthy food systems and green businesses. The presentation will also provide information on resources such as grants, marketing assistance, and new business ideas and trends.

The 2010 Women in Sustainable Agriculture Conference will bring together farmers, ranchers, educators, agricultural service providers and activists to build production and business skills, share educational and organizational strategies, and forge new connections all aimed at expanding the success of women in sustainable agriculture. The conference includes workshops, intensive skill-building clinics, farm tours and roundtables. A special Grow Your Business track is offered for established farmers. While this conference will be open to everyone, it is uniquely oriented to women farmers’ interests and learning preferences.
