This meter is a versatile, easy to use portable instrument engineered for use with all growing applications.
The convenient HI 9813-0 allows you to measure pH, EC (conductivity) and TDS with just one instrument! The specially engineered HI 1285 probe is interchangeable and the pH electrode utilizes a cloth junction and gel electrolyte which are particularly suitable when used in fertilizer solutions. This probe has also been designed with Hanna’s Fast Response Probe (FRP) technology to allow quicker reaction time to changing conditions. Calibration is reduced to one point in the pH mode, and one point in the EC/TDS mode. EC/TDS measurements are automatically compensated for changes in temperature. The meter has a Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS) which will not allow readings when the battery level is too low for accurate measurements. With all these features HI 9813-0 is an excellent addition to your growing tool chest.

The pH test kit from General Hydroponics has a range of pH 4 to pH 8.5 and lasts for about 200 tests. 1 fluid ounces of indicator solution included. Just take a half vile sample of the solution you want to test and then squeeze three drops of the indicator solution in the vile and match the color on the indicator chart. pH 7.0 Calibration Solution – 8 oz
We recommend that you calibrate you pH meter weekly. Most meters can be calibrated with 7.0 and 4.0 buffers. It is not recommended to reuse calibration solution once it has been used, it is no longer sterile. Pour a small amount into a shot glass and and place your meter or probe inside the glass for calibration. Suitable for all makes and models of pH pens and meters.
